Celebrities know a thing or two about luxurious hotels.

After all, A-listers are rarely seen going budget for their breaks, opting to stay in the world’s most glamorous properties instead.

But for a couple of stars being a mere guest wasn’t enough, so they bought their own hotels.

For example, Hugh Jackman enjoyed a wellness retreat so much he ended up buying it, while Andy Murray is celebrating his Scottish heritage with a chic property in Dunblane.

Meanwhile, Donatella Versace’s 7* Palazzo is famed for its opulence, while Liz Hurley has added a touch of luxury to city breaks with her hotel in London.

We take a look at the celebrities who own hotels – and what guests can expect when they visit…

Andy previously said of the hotel: “By re-establishing Cromlix as a leading luxury hotel at the heart of the Dunblane community we will be able to attract new visitors to the area, create a number of new jobs and focus on supporting other local businesses. I’m pleased to be able to give something back to the community I grew up in.”
